Old Technology

Our next project will be a series of images that we will print at 24″x36″. After talking with several printing lab experts, it seems the most efficient way to do this is by actually using our old 35mm camera. It’s funny that an old technology has better quality than the newer digital technology (at least at our budget level).

There is a benefit to being behind. Computers have been powerful for many years; there isn’t that much difference between a new computer and a 5 year old one. I too-easily buy the myth that newer is different and worth the inflated price. Buying quality tools is necessary, but with disposable technologies like digital cameras and computers, I’m starting to consider older technology along with the new.
