I do the same thing in my day planner, with the blackout bits. Most of my shapes take the form of mutated rectangles since they don’t have the surrounding circle. Some people get frustrated that I black out what I consider done or resolved, as though some notion of posterity should preserve my day planner in its entirety. Sensitive information I keep elsewhere of course, so what’s on paper like that or in a planner is there to be obliterated!

Hi Megan and Murray,
I start all my articles with the same type of circle chart. Now I’m using the charts as the basis for a new series of paintings: http://twocoatsofpaint.blogspot.com/2009/01/january-residency-at-pocket-utopia.html
