This-is-it

As promised, here’s an image of my current model. The Cyanotype of Daryl balancing a ketchup bottle on three grains of salt (a friend from college with talent) from yesterday’s post is one of my favorites that never sees the light of day. Old artworks are like old stuffed animals.

Honestly, I’m scared to work on it, the model that is. I don’t want to mess it up. Isn’t it funny that I don’t want to mess up something that really isn’t anything yet. Tomorrow, I’m gonna put a new piece of wood on the model and I’ll take a photo of my best working sketch of what I’m going for.

Your model reminds me of “Indigo Room”.
Love the new blog site and artwork site! It’s great seeing all the old artworks you added to your art site, that I never saw before. I remember not long after I’d moved to Austin, you mentioned the “huge cardboard sphere to roll around” idea, Murray, but I never got to see how that turned out! ‘Til now! I also remember the “Dinner Party” idea you must have mentioned to me last year; I guess you had some students do that one?
