Grad School Update

October 25th, 2004 · No Comments · Education

Here’s a quick graduate school update if anyone’s interested.

I had a meeting today with a professor who I respect and trust, whose 2-cents I value. Basically, he also agreed that I’m in pickle, asked me several astute and clarifying questions about my goals and intentions. After listening carefully, suggested that Art History is probably not the way to go, but perhaps switching to the studio art MFA program and working with some folks who are amenable to my complicated situation (working with Murray in a partnership). Also options: transferring to another MFA program, or keeping my AH grad student status and continuing to take classes that are pertinent to my educational goals without worrying about the appropriate coursework to complete the AH degree.

Spring registration is coming up, so I’ve got to make some decisions about my educational path relatively quickly. At this point, I’m 95% certain that I’ll take classes in the Spring, but I’m not at all sure what my overall educational plan will be.
