“You know Myra, some people might think you’re cute. But me, I think you’re one very large baked potato.”
Sylvester Stallone as Machine Gun Joe Vitrano in Death Race 2000.

We’ve got Netflix and, generally, it’s great. We don’t have regular television, so we use it to mediate our teevee viewing. Everything was going wonderfully until Netflix offered a new option: personal profiles, where you can let someone in your household have their own queue. Murray got his own profile; he now gets to choose one out of every three films we watch. Suddenly, films like A Boy and His Dog, and Death Race 2000 are showing up in our mailbox. What was it with 1975 and post-apocalyptic sci-fi?
