Supersonic: Bullet-Pointed

Duce C., 2004, graffiti piece on Slauson [source]

* Amanda Hamilton and Alison Owen: subtlety, restraint (friend disclaimer)
* Somebody get Marcie Kaufman a show
* every time we were stopped by something we liked, it was a Claremont student
* every time we were stopped by something we didn’t like, it was a CalArts student
* 98% of student video art is terrible
* please don’t show video art on your old TV, below eye-level, ever
* it’s awkward to crawl into an installation piece and find yourself in the midst of someone’s private support session
* John Kim’s Two Weeks Notice (Effective two weeks from the date of this letter, I resign my position as an artist), was a nice touch
* the graffiti on Slauson en-route to the exhibition at the LA Design Center steals the show
* while standing in line to get our car from the valet, a homeless man asked, “So what’s going on here? Some kind of fashion show?”
* I said, “exactly.”
