But in reality, artists have to be jugglers, keeping the competing plates of artmaking, gig-getting, socializing, fundraising, and business management spinning in a harmonious blend that keeps the bills paid and the art flowing, and still leaves room for dinners with friends and the occasional live music-making extravaganza.
