Looking for a new building material for your next installation? Conisder the lightweight corrugated plastic Coroplast. Although intended as a sign material (see neighborhood realtor or election signs), it comes in 4×8 sheets, perfect for temporary architectures or skins for bikes. It comes in about a dozen colors and is not too expensive (about $15 a sheet if purchased from a plastics supply store).

The green walls in Inside 23 People at the Blanton Museum of Art are coroplast. After the project, those walls became padding for the museums shipping department, so they now protect other artists’ work.
