The famed “Lion of Tzia” is the oldest artwork in the Cyclaedic islands, estimated about 600 BC. It’s a small hike to get to him, but is not to be missed. Folklore says that he chased rampaging nymphs away from the local women and has been guarding the island ever since. With his back to the sea in a mock repose, he’s delightfully “cat” to the core.
