We’re starting a new project with our neighbors, birds that live near our studio. This is the start of a misting system for the background.

Fabricating Installation
This was our first version for holding the video projectors–we failed to realize these projector trays would place each projector in the way of the opposite projector. Time to do it again.
Second draft: Each projector gets it’s own adjustable stand. This allows maximum flexibility when we install on the island (and don’t have access to electricity).
Framing finished. We’ll attach the rear-projection fabric on site.
Our installation is loaded on the white pickup truck. This barge takes all of the exhibition artists’ work to the island, which was somewhat a delightful surprise to us: some bridges you just have to cross when you get there.

Lighting and Choreography Tests
The Lasers were generously loaned to us by Pacific Laser Systems. Each self-leveling construction laser is on a different sized stand. This is 99 lasers (and about $200 of AA batteries).

The uneven ground analyzed with lasers.
The lasers had the option to create vertical lines too–this is a test with the verticals turned on.
We love how the parachute becomes like lava.
This is a early test with the vertical option turned on.
